"The Secret Door in My School Leads to..."

Have you ever had the feeling that something wasn’t quite right as you are walking around your school? I experienced just that last week. It all began when I chose to take a shortcut through an historic corridor that no one really used anymore as I was rushing late to class. At that moment, I noticed a tiny wooden door hidden behind a dusty bookshelf. I had never noticed it before, something about the door made me feel excitement.

With my curiosity, I pushed the door open and stepped inside. Suddenly, I had left my school. I was standing in a huge underground library with many books that were softly glowing in the dim light. The air smelled like old paper and mystery. I feel very unfamiliar with this place, and it gives me an eerie feeling. I walked forward; my footsteps are echoing the whole area.

Then, I heard a voice. “You shouldn’t be here”

I spun around and saw a hooded man staring at me. My heart was pounded.

The man said, “This is the Library of Lost Knowledge, only those who are chosen can enter”

Selected? Me? The man handed me a book with a ragged cover before I could ask anything. “Your task is inside” he said.

After a moment of hesitation, I opened the book. At the first, the pages were blank, but then I saw the words: Find the missing keys and reveal the truth, chosen guy.

Is this a mission for me? This was getting crazy. I should rush to my class right now, but I was unable to go back. Then, I searched the library, looked below desks and took books off the shelf as I searched the library. At last, I found a tiny, golden key hidden inside a book that had been hollowed out. When I touch it, the ground suddenly trembled and the hooded man appeared.

“You have found the key” he said. “Will you keep this place a secret, or will you reveal Library of Lost Knowledge to the world?”

I considered it. I could improve human’s lives if I reveal all this lost knowledge. However, there are some knowledge that is harmful and may cause the world became dangerous. In the end, I decided to keep it a secret. I put the key in my pocket because I know I might return some day.

As I stepped back through the door, I found that the school hallway had become empty. The bookshelf had moved back to its original position, totally hiding the door.

I was asking myself is it just my imagination? I reached into my pocket and felt the cool metal of the key. A smile spread across my face. “Maybe I am the chosen guy.”
